Weekly Favorite(s) - Chachi...Chachi...Chachi...

What started out to be another quiet and slow summer week turned into a Baio Blockbuster.
{If, by chance, you were out of the country or bedridden with no access to electronics and missed out - read all about it right HERE.}
I'm starting to come down from my Baio-high, but still shout "MAYBE IT'S BAIO!" every time my phone bings, rings or buzzs.
I can only imagine that since he's taping the first show of his new sitcom tonight it's been a busy week for him and he'll get around to contacting me to tell me that he enjoyed my blog post so much he'd like to send me and the fam. passes to a taping sometime this weekend...or by end of next week at the latest.

I'm sure of it.

So I'll keep refreshing my email maniacally until then.

I know it may be hard to for you to believe, but other than my 12-year old self imploding on Wednesday....and Thursday, a few other things did show up on my radar this week, and while they pale in comparison, I thought I'd give them a HighFive.

1. Gone Girl - by Gillian Flynn -

It's been a long time since I've devoured a book like I did this one.
The author used to be the TV/Movie critic for Entertainment Weekly Magazine (which is my favorite entertainment/movie/TV magazine because of the writing), so maybe that's why I loved it.  But seriously, it is brilliantly written and full of twists and turns.  Just when you think you've figured it out - BOOM - ya haven't.  The main characters are seriously effe'd up....but you love them anyway.  And then hate them.  And then love them.
Just read it.  I bet you won't be able to put it down.

2. TED -

Husband and I double-dated with the Things this week and went to see Ted.
(Oh, relax....the Things saw "Spiderman" in the theater next door.)
HIGH-lariously inappropriate and stupid and pointless movie.  We loved it.

3.  New followers! -
Got a few new GFF followers, and due to my famous (just humor me) re-tweet, new Twitter followers which now brings my total # of Twitter followers up to......drum roll please.....18!!!! Thank you to those of you who read, comment and follow!!  And if you'd like to see it when Baio does get around to replying &/or re-re-tweeting, make sure and click that little yellow 't' button up at the top of the sidebar that it took me 2 days and 3 bottles of wine (I'm kidding.....it was probably only 2) to figure out how to create.

Oh, and then you'll also see that random strangers (is that redundant?) are also now re-tweeting me.....right alongside Scott Baio!

Direct your eyes to the top 4 entries.
Yeah...me & Baio bein' re-tweeted together. whatever.
Seriously, in what alternate universe am I living in this week when my name (Twitter name...but whatever) is linked to Scott Baio's??  I imagine these people are like, "Oh, Michelle and Scott, listen to this...."or "Michelle and Scott, I have a question....".
My inner child's head just exploded.

Have a great weekend - I'm off to The Happy Place for 9 - yes, NINE - days so there's a pretty good chance my posts will be sporadic.

But make sure to check back on Monday for my new linky-game, "Just Admit It".  The topic is gonna be 'siblings'....so start thinking of all the horrible things you did to your little brothers and sisters and get ready to share!

  2. I just know it too!

I have that book on my list but I am 2 months into a year of not allowing myself to purchase any books (because I have 8 billion in my house that I have not read) so I am waiting for someone to buy it and then lend it to me :)

Have a great weekend and enjoy the happy place!!
