Because of this AWESOME GINORMOUS GIVEAWAY with almost $700 worth of prizes that is taking place this week, I've noticed...shall we say...a few more friends visiting the blog and the YMFT Facebook page. Like in the multiple hundreds (<< why I was never good at math).
Seriously, this giveaway racket is the shit for making a girl feel popular.
But I'm realistic.
I know that 99% of those hundreds of new friends on Facebook and all 70+ people who commented on the blog post the other day just did it for the swag. And I'm totally okay with that. Hell, if I could've entered I'd have done it too. And I know that once this contest is over on Saturday you'll probably start the long process of unliking all those new blogs you just had to 'like' because you really don't want your newsfeed littered up with all those clever and witty status updates from bloggers because you might miss one from that girl you think you knew in 9th grade but maybe it was 5th grade who likes to over-post inspirational quotes from Zig Ziglar or complain about the politics she disagrees with or share her daily exercise stats.
And you wouldn't want to miss that.
But I hope you stick around -- here on the blog and on Facebook -- long after the contest is over.

You are too funny. I can't imagine anyone un-liking you. I look forward to your posts, especially when you talk about taking naps or sleeping in because since my kids are all still so little, you give me hope for my future. It's kind of a painful, envious hope, but hope nonetheless.
