This isn't really a post.

It's been a crazy couple of weeks.
Seriously, take away the pointy ears and whiskers and this could've been me at any point over the past 12 days.

Today I slept until 11:30*.
*to those of you with small children - I apologize. But I've been where you are and paid my dues and let me tell you that the occasional drama of living with pre-teens and teenagers can be worth it when you can sleep for 9 hours.  Straight.

And this post isn't really a post, but a means for me to tell you that I'm still here, and that if it weren't for the Christmas cards I have to assemble and the gifts I have to wrap and boxes I have to go dig through the garage to find and then pack to be shipped out of state tomorrow and the cookies I have to bake for my BIL in Afghanistan and the sour laundry I have to re-start in the washer and the 3 loads of clothes I have to fold so we have clean underwear this week and the Christmas gifts I have to finish making so I can mail them tomorrow and the 6th grade essay on Helen Keller I have to proof-read and the dishwasher I have to empty and the messy kitchen I have to clean and the dinner I have to tell my family to make for themselves - and all of it today, I'd totally write a new post.

And if I did, I'd tell you that Annie was fabulous and a record-breaking success for the theatre and that my girls were terrific and I was so, so proud.  I'd also tell you about my fun day at the Mall of America with my best friend from High School who I haven't seen in like 6 years but who was in town for the weekend, and how we got our first winter storm last night with about 6" of snow (which is still falling) and how beautiful it looks outside but how I'm already tired of it.

But the sleepy cat pic will have to do until tomorrow.
Or Tuesday.

someecards.com - The holidays are really interfering with my social media life.

It's true.
But there's not much that can keep me off of facebook a few (17) times a day, so if you're not already a 'friend' on facebook or a follower on twitter, those magic buttons up on the right will take you to my pages and I'd love to have you follow along!

Now I get to pick one of the fun things to do from the list above.
Was 'lay in bed and watch last week's episode of Parenthood' on there? No? Dammit.

  1. I laughed out loud when I saw that sleepy cat pic, so cute! Also, yes I love sleeping in, I don't have kids yet, but I know I will miss sleeping in until noon when I do :)

  2. I'm now sporting your button so that all of my friends can come here and sit and wait til you post something that IS a real post (and I'll tell them how awesome you are and they'll be lined up!)

Your list of stuff to do sounds frighteningly much like mine. We need to seriously hit the lottery or get a wife to help out.

    1. You're sporting my BUTTON?? Whoo-HOO! Thank you Thank you! You are a gem, I tell ya. And a true soul sister I'm realizing more and more each day....
When I figure out how to mess with all the htmls over there on my button list (which I have not been able to do ever since I had my blog redesigned by someone who was not me) I'll certainly return the favor!
      :)

  4. Sounds like you are busy busy mama. I hear that, and I don't even have any kiddos.
Also...Hey, your BIL is deployed?! I had a care package returned to me recently, it didn't make it in time and the guy is now home (safe and sound). If you send me an address I can forward it on, I don't need to keep a bunch of snacks and time wasting stuff. :)

I love your comments. They let me know I'm talking to someone besides my cats during the day. Check back ~ I'll reply if I'm not too busy napping.
