Last Day (Literally) Lists

This month the Last Day Lists link-up is a double whammy!

100 points if you remember this game show.
100 points if you remember any game show.
It falls not only on the last day of the month...but the last day of the whole year!!

Time to give 3 minutes of thought to these list categories from 2012, list 'em out, grab a button and link up.
The link is open well into 2013 so no worries if you are too busy today blowing up hundreds of balloons for a balloon drop, punching out 18 lbs. of confetti with a single hole punch or making wonderful 2012 memory books that you discovered on Pinterest with your children.
No?
Okay, then.
No excuses.
Let's go.

You’re my favorite today.

5 best movies you saw in 2012
So I just googled a list of all the movies that were released in 2012, and guess what? I went to the movies 4 times this year. Four. Times.
New Year's resolution (even though you know I hate them) - go to more movies in 2013.
Anyway, the ones I did see were pretty good, so they just became the 'best'.
1. Argo
2. Les Miserables
3. 21 Jump Street
4. Brave
5. Silver Linings Playbook (full disclosure - I did not see this movie yet, but know I will love it when I do so it's going on my list)

5 best songs of 2012
So I just googled a list of songs that were released in 2012, and guess what? I have never heard of 98% of them. So I'm going with a few that came to mind immediately and that I honestly loved and couldn't stop singing. Don't judge.
1. We Are Young - Fun.
2. Good Girl - Carrie Underwood
3. I Won't Give Up - Jason Mraz
4. Anything Can Happen - Elle Goulding
5. What Makes You Beautiful - One Direction *That's right. One Direction. Objects of my girls' desires. Listen, you'd also find their music catchy and fun and easy to sing along with if you too were subjected to it every waking minute of your summer days. I admit - I'm a big 1D fan.

5 (or 4) most fascinating people of 2012
1. Mitt Romney
Politics and opinions aside, I found Mitt, his background and his rise to success fascinating. Even more so a few weeks after the election when I saw this photo.
The normally polished and sharp dressed Mitt looking slightly rumpled and a little bit in need of a shower on Thanksgiving day.
And he (finally) became real.

2. Britney Spears
Woman of a million expressions - yet at the same time void of any personality.
Fascinating.

3. Katie Holmes
After years of being a pod person, she finally broke free...and suddenly became fascinating.

4. Prince Harry
Dude's continuing to live his life as if he doesn't have a billion years of monarchy to represent and is not heir to the throne or anything important like that. And now that his seat has been bumped down with the royal pregnancy, I can't wait to see what he's gonna pull in 2013.

5 moments you'll remember from 2012 (personal or in the news)
1. Starting this little blog (and it becoming a bigger part of my life than I anticipated)
2. My oldest nephew's wedding
3. Both the Things performing in my childhood favorite musical - Annie
4. New York City snakes (don't ask)
5. Shootings in movie theaters and schools and a heightened fear of living in our own country.

5 things you want to do in 2013 (not resolutions because I do not like resolutions)
1. see more movies (see above)
2. write for a blogger website....or The Huffington Post. Really, I'm not picky.
3. Go to London. Which leads me to...
4. Win the lottery (doesn't even have to be the Powerball. Again, I'm not picky).
5.  Celebrate my 20th anniversary someplace other than Minnesota

Wanna play?
Link up below. I'm willing to bet you'll be one of the first only ones to do it!!
Link will be open forever, so no rush.

Please share.

  2. So, I'm you, but an exaggerated version when it comes to movies. I may have 5 times this year, but four of those times were repeats (I saw a movie with one group and then saw the same one with another group... because I like popcorn and don't care what I have to watch to justify buying it). Still, I'll see if I can't drum up some more stuff to list so I can participate this month!

  3. Sadly I have only been to the movies twice in 2013. Twice! though I do see things as soon as they are on demand or at redbox. You know so I can watch movies in my pjs and sometimes in bed. I too think I will love silver linings playbook though.
